The guests of Santa Marina Holliday Village turned out to be the closest to the archeological and religious discovery of the year. Relics of St. John the Baptist are held in the relics-container, discovered at the end of July on St. Ivan Island near Sozopol. The relics-container from alabaster is found for the first time on our Black Sea Coast and it was discovered in the altar part of the oldest temple on the island. In the archeological find are laid parts of arm, jaw, heel and tooth of John the Baptist, who proclaimed the advent of Jesus Christ and after that baptized him.

The find was opened in the Historical museum in Sozopol.
